Effects of phonon-phonon coupling on the double gamma-decay width of the quadrupole state

Description

We study the double gamma-decay of the quadrupole state of an even-even spherical nucleus. An influence of the phonon-phonon coupling on the double gamma-decay width is analysed within the quasiparticle-phonon model based on the Skyrme energy density functional. It is shown that the double gamma-decay width is sensitive to the interaction of the one- and two-phonon configurations of the giant dipole resonance.
