Description
In this work, hybrid metric-Palatini gravity is considered in the context of compact binary systems, specifically binary pulsars and inspiralling compact binary systems. Updated observational data from the double pulsar PSR J0737-3039 are used to investigate the theory. Additionally, gravitational waveforms from inspiralling compact binary systems are derived within the quasi-circular approximation in the lowest post-Newtonian order.
